New Nurses Start Work
On Thursday, 116 new nurses received their diplomas from Riga Stradins University (RSU) and took a solemn oath. From Friday, they can fully work in healthcare. Many have already found jobs, and most have chosen to work in one of Latvia's largest hospitals.
Working Conditions and Pay
The graduates say that they are not afraid of difficulties or night shifts, but pay is a major concern. This comes against the backdrop of a Europe-wide shortage of nurses.
