Just over half of eligible voters cast ballots in Latvia's 15th Saeima election
According to partial data from Latvia's Central Election Commission, at least 788,000 people, or 50.59% of eligible voters, took part in the 15th Saeima election.

Latvia's Central Election Commission (CVK) has released preliminary, partially compiled figures on voter turnout for the 15th Saeima election. According to this interim data, at least 788,000 people cast their votes.
That figure represents 50.59% of all eligible voters in the country. It should be noted that these numbers are provisional, as vote counting and data compilation were still underway at the time of reporting — the final results may shift once the Commission receives and processes information from all polling stations.
Voter turnout is traditionally viewed as one indicator of how engaged the public is in the country's political processes and how significant a given election is seen to be by society. The Central Election Commission continues to gather and refine the data, with complete figures on the final vote count and distribution expected to be published later.
