ETV+'s 'Summer Horizon' on Aug 4: heat, blood shortage and a self-built tractor

The upcoming edition of 'Summer Horizon' ('Letniy gorizont') will air on ETV+ on Tuesday, August 4. The program covers events in Estonia and beyond through personal stories, blending lighthearted and serious subjects.
One segment will focus on elderly health during sudden weather changes. Geriatrician Viktor Vasilyev will share his recommendations on how older people can cope with hot and cool spells.
Another topic is the pressing shortage of blood donors. The Blood Centre of the North Estonia Regional Hospital has reported a critical need for donors. Gulnara Khanirzayeva, head of the centre's donor department, will explain what happened and who is expected at donation points.
Viewers will also meet Fyodor Lodeikin from the Peipsi area, described as a local inventor, who built his own tractor. Reporter Artur Tyulenev brings his story.
Nutrition therapist Alexandra Hagen will discuss how much liquid the human body can obtain exclusively from vegetables and fruits. The programme also recalls a popular saying that it is not beer that destroys people but water.
