Both Latvian beach volleyball pairs fall in Montreal quarterfinals, finish fifth

Latvia's leading beach volleyball duos both saw their run end in the quarterfinals at the Elite 16 tournament held in Montreal, Canada.
The women's pair of Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova, along with the men's pair of Martins Plavins and Kristians Fokerots, both lost their quarterfinal matches to their respective opponents.
As a result, both Latvian pairs finished the tournament in fifth place, the best possible outcome following a quarterfinal defeat.
Graudina/Samoilova and Plavins/Fokerots are considered Latvia's top beach volleyball tandems and regularly compete in the international Elite 16 series.
