The world's top athletics stars closed out their season in Budapest at a newly launched competition called the 'Absolute World Championship.' Only athletes who posted the season's best results were allowed to take part.

American sprinter Kenny Bednarek set a personal record in the 200m, finishing in 19.52 seconds.
Tamberi wins high jump
Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi won the high jump competition with a result of 2 meters 37 centimeters.
Dos Santos leads the hurdles field
In the 400m hurdles, world record holder Alison dos Santos of Brazil finished ahead of his main rivals, American Rai Benjamin and Norway's Karsten Warholm.
