AC Milan Sign Goncalo Ramos in Record Transfer from PSG
AC Milan has acquired Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain in the most expensive transfer in the club's history, surpassing the previous record set in 2019.

Italian football giants AC Milan have reached an agreement with French champions Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Portugal international striker Goncalo Ramos. The transfer fee exceeds the club's previous record, set in 2019 when Rafael Leao was bought from Lille. It is also the biggest deal in Serie A since Inter Milan paid €74 million for Romelu Lukaku in 2019.
Ramos was courted by several top European clubs, but Milan won the race, thanks in part to the good relationship between club owner Gerry Cardinale and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The 25-year-old Portuguese becomes the first signing under new coach Ruben Amorim, who knows Ramos well and made him a priority for the centre-forward position. The player himself was keen to work with Amorim, which helped speed up negotiations.
Last season was disappointing for Milan, as a comfortable Champions League position slipped away late in the campaign, leaving them with only Europa League football. Ramos scored six goals and provided one assist in 33 games last season. He joined PSG from Benfica for €65 million in 2024. Ramos underwent medical tests in the United States, where he is currently with the Portugal national team at the World Cup, having made one substitute appearance so far.
The announcement came on the same day AC Milan officially confirmed the appointment of Massimo Calvelli as the club's CEO, continuing a broad restructuring of the management ahead of the new season.
