The Latvian U-18 men's basketball team will be without Gunārs Grīnvalds and Ričards Aizpurs for the current lineup. The two players were unable to join the squad because they adhered to the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This was explained by Raivis Ušackis, an agent from the "Prime Athlete" agency that represents both basketball players. Ušackis stated that the players were guided by the NCAA requirements. The NCAA is a governing body for college athletics in the United States. In this case, the players chose to follow its rules, which meant they could not participate in the national team's activities. The agent did not provide further details about which specific rules prevented their participation. As a result, the Latvian U-18 team will have to proceed without these two basketball players.
