Latvian Language Agency invites bidders to briefing on courses for Ukrainian civilians
Latvia's Latvian Language Agency has launched a procurement for organizing Latvian-language courses for Ukrainian civilians and will hold an online briefing for bidders on October 6. Registration for the briefing closes on October 5.
The Latvian Language Agency has opened a new procurement aimed at helping Ukrainian civilians integrate into Latvian society, the education system and the labor market. On September 29 this year, the agency announced a tender, identification number LVA 2026/07/B, seeking providers to organize and deliver Latvian-as-a-foreign-language courses.
The initiative is carried out under the Law on Support for Ukrainian Civilians and the 2026 action plan for supporting Ukrainian civilians in the Republic of Latvia.
Course scope and target group
The procurement invites education providers capable of delivering instruction to Ukrainian civilians who hold temporary protection status in Latvia. The planned course volume is 160 contact hours, covering language proficiency levels from A1 to C1.
Briefing session for bidders
To inform potential bidders about the requirements, the agency will hold an online informational seminar on October 6 at 14:00. The session will cover the unified system for Latvian language acquisition as well as the requirements for implementing the courses that future course providers must meet.
