Journalist Aidis Tomsons releases book 'Outside the Airwaves' – a reflection on his life and history
Journalist Aidis Tomsons, who has been working in Latvian media since 1991, has published a book titled 'Outside the Airwaves: Journalist's Notes', blending personal memories with historical events.

Aidis Tomsons, a journalist and Latvian Radio personality with a career spanning back to 1991, has recently released a book called 'Outside the Airwaves: Journalist's Notes'. In this work, he looks back at his own journey while also opening relatively recent pages of history.
As the author himself stated, the book is not only about past events but also about him personally. 'I think the book is not just about the events of that time, it is also about me,' Tomsons said on Latvian Radio 3 'Klasika' program 'Rīta regtaims'.
The book offers a unique insight into the journalist's work and Latvia's history from a personal perspective. Tomsons' experience since 1991 provides a broad context for the transformations that Latvian media and society have undergone over three decades.
