When the railway line from Glūda to Liepāja was completed in 1929, passenger trains stopped at over 20 stations. Today, many of these stations are bypassed, and their buildings face various fates. The Airīte station is an exception – it has come into the hands of caring owners and is being developed into a cultural venue. The station has not only preserved its industrial heritage character but has also become a popular place for concerts and other cultural events. The transformation is ongoing, and the station continues to attract more visitors.
