Man Stabbed on Street in Aizkraukle
State Police report that on July 10 in Aizkraukle, during a physical altercation on Lāčplēša Street, a man stabbed another with a knife. The victim was taken to hospital; the suspect was detained.
State Police have reported a violent incident in Aizkraukle. On July 10, 2026, a physical fight broke out between two men on Lāčplēša Street. During the confrontation, one of them pulled out a knife and inflicted bodily harm on the other.
Following the incident, the injured person was taken to a medical facility. The individual suspected of carrying out the attack has been detained. A criminal investigation has been initiated to clarify the exact circumstances and assign responsibility.
Police also recall that last November, a similar knife attack occurred in Aizkraukle, but that time it happened in a café. A man born in 1957 was wounded and taken to hospital. The circumstances of the current incident differ from the previous one.
