Installation of Relaxation Loungers Begins at Aizkraukle Riverside; Municipality Asks to Wait for Signage
The Aizkraukle municipality requests residents to refrain from using new relaxation loungers until informational signs are installed, ensuring safe and educational use.

The installation of relaxation loungers has started at the Daugava embankment near the Aizkraukle Culture Centre as part of the 'Interactive Gardens' project. The local municipality urges visitors not to use the loungers yet, as informational signs explaining their proper and safe use have not been installed.
The signs will provide guidance on safety, nature-friendly behavior, and the object's significance in the context of ecology and local landscape. The municipality asks people not to climb on or damage the loungers so that they can serve as an educational and recreational area.
The 'Interactive Gardens' project is implemented with support from the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021–2027. The initiative promotes sustainable public space development, stimulates public interest in natural processes, and offers educational solutions for families, schools, and tourists, while strengthening regional cooperation and preserving cultural landscapes.
