Exhibition Organizer Detained After Missile Strike Kills 10 in Ukraine
Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office has detained an arms exhibition organizer on suspicion of negligence leading to the deaths of ten people in a Russian missile strike.

Ukrainian authorities have detained the organizer of an arms exhibition on suspicion of negligence following a Russian missile attack that killed ten people. The event was organized by an association of weapons manufacturers without coordination with the military command, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.
The large-scale gathering included military personnel, government officials, international partners, and business representatives. The program featured a demonstration of air defense systems, and more than 300 people were invited to an open area. The nearest shelter was only about 100 meters away with a capacity of just 34 square meters, placing hundreds of attendees in an obvious safety risk from the start.
Invitations were sent nine days in advance, but the exact location and time were announced only one day prior. Investigators are examining whether these actions enabled the enemy to prepare a targeted attack.
Missile Strike and Detainee
Three Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched at the exhibition site; two hit their targets while one was intercepted. The detained organizer sustained minor injuries and is currently under guard in a medical facility. A court will soon decide on a preventive measure. He is suspected under the criminal code article for negligence causing death.
