13 Accidents with Injuries in Latvia in Past 24 Hours; Five Drivers Caught Drunk
In the last day, 13 road accidents with casualties were recorded in Latvia, injuring 14 people, including a pedestrian, three cyclists, and an e-scooter rider.

Latvian State Police reported 13 road traffic accidents with injuries over the past 24 hours, leaving 14 people injured. Among the victims were one pedestrian, three cyclists, and one e-scooter driver.
A total of 149 accidents were registered nationwide. The highest number of injury crashes occurred in the Riga region, where ten accidents resulted in ten injured. In Kurzeme, two people were injured, and in Vidzeme and Latgale, one each.
During the same period, five drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol, and one under the influence of narcotics. Police issued 434 traffic violation protocols, 212 of which were for speeding.
