Actor Ēriks Vilsons to bring solo show on Imants Ziedonis to schools
Ahead of the new school year, actor Ēriks Vilsons will present a new solo performance dedicated to poet Imants Ziedonis to school audiences, included in the "Latvijas skolas soma" programme.
As the new school year approaches, actor Ēriks Vilsons is preparing to present his latest solo performance to school audiences across Latvia. The show, titled "Imants Ziedonis. Es ieeju sevī" ("Imants Ziedonis. I Enter Myself"), is dedicated to the renowned Latvian poet Imants Ziedonis.
The production has been included in "Latvijas skolas soma", a state-funded cultural education programme that gives Latvian schoolchildren the opportunity to attend various cultural events and get acquainted with the work of Latvian artists and writers.
The solo performance draws on the personality and creative legacy of Imants Ziedonis. According to those behind the production, it reflects the actor's own journey of maturing and self-discovery, shaped through his engagement with the poet's texts and ideas.
