Alternative bill for Gors governance drops foundation plan

The governance model for the Latgale Embassy 'Gors' remains unclear; an alternative bill is being drafted after the initial proposal was rejected, no longer creating a separate foundation but keeping the Ministry of Culture as overseer.

The future governance model of the 'Gors' cultural centre in Latgale is still undecided. The initial bill, which aimed to establish a dedicated foundation to manage both the building and its programming, has been rejected. Currently, an alternative version is being developed that no longer includes the creation of such a foundation.

Despite this change, the plan to have the Ministry of Culture oversee Gors' operations and organizational processes remains unchanged. The ministry will continue its supervisory role, though the exact governance structure has yet to be finalized.
