Julian Alvarez, who scored 20 goals for Atletico Madrid last season, has openly admitted he wants to leave the club. "I can't hide it," the player said. "I try to be an honest person. I talked to the club and I think a transfer would be the best option for me. I want to fulfill my dream."

Media reports have previously indicated that Alvarez's desired next club is Barcelona. The Catalan club prepared a €100 million offer a month ago, which was rejected. Barcelona sees Alvarez as the preferred candidate to replace Robert Lewandowski.

Interest in the striker has also come from London's Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and even city rivals Real Madrid. However, it is expected that if Alvarez leaves Atletico, he will head straight to Barcelona.

In total, he has scored 49 goals in 106 games for the Madrid club. Alvarez joined Atletico in 2024 for €95 million from Manchester City, signing a contract until 2030.
