Foreign Ministry: No Latvian nationals yet among those rescued in Nepal
Nepal's Tourism Department has published a list of 29 people considered missing following a recent natural disaster, but Latvia's Foreign Ministry says no Latvian citizens are currently among those confirmed rescued.

Latvia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that Nepalese authorities are continuing to compile information on people affected by a recent natural disaster in the country. Nepal's Tourism Department has already published a list of 29 people regarded as missing, which includes Latvian citizens.
At the same time, authorities have begun releasing names of people who have already been rescued. According to the Latvian Foreign Ministry, no Latvian nationals currently appear among the names published so far in the rescued group.
The ministry says it continues to monitor the situation and remains in contact with Nepalese authorities to obtain the latest information on the fate of the missing. Further details about the circumstances of the disaster and the total number of people affected have not yet been made public.
The Foreign Ministry has urged the public to follow future updates, which will be issued as soon as new information becomes available regarding the status of Latvian citizens connected to the events in Nepal.
