Latvian Foreign Ministry: Three Latvians unharmed in Nepal floods, 33 people still missing

Latvia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that three Latvian citizens who were in Nepal were not harmed by a mudslide caused by flooding in the country. The information was relayed to the LETA news agency by ministry representatives.

At the same time, the ministry noted that the broader situation remains serious, with 33 people currently listed as missing. It was not specified whether the missing include foreign nationals or only local residents.

The Foreign Ministry said it continues to monitor the situation and maintain contact with relevant authorities to gather further information about the disaster and its consequences. The flooding and resulting mudslide point to a significant natural disaster affecting the region.
