Amazon's Fall Deal Days Discount Pet Tech — Cameras, Feeders and Litter Boxes

Amazon's large-scale discount event, which now takes place multiple times a year and this round runs through October 7, gives pet owners a chance to buy pet technology at lower prices than typically available outside of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

WIRED's pet tech reviewer, who has tested nearly two dozen different pet cameras, has compiled a list of models currently carrying notable discounts during the event.

Cameras and feeders

Among the standout deals is a basic Petcube camera, selling at its lowest price of the year, along with the Furbo 360-degree dog camera, which can toss treats in addition to monitoring pets and is currently priced at $85 — 30 percent below its previous lowest price.

In the automatic feeder category, two devices from Petkit and Petlibro are highlighted, both featuring built-in cameras and app-based remote control. The Petkit model carries an $82 discount, making it the cheapest it has been all year.

Fountains and litter boxes

Automatic pet fountains are recommended as a simple way to support pet health, particularly for cats prone to bladder infections. Petkit and Petlibro fountain models are currently priced at or near their lowest points of the year.

Automatic litter boxes, while expensive, are recommended as a worthwhile investment for cat owners. Two Petkit models — one featuring an AI-enabled camera and app connectivity for health monitoring — are currently discounted by up to 20 percent.

The outlet notes the list will continue to be updated throughout the two-day sales event.
