Amazon Prime Includes Over 20 Extra Perks Beyond Fast Shipping
Beyond quick delivery, Amazon Prime members have access to dozens of additional benefits, from streaming services to discounts on fuel and groceries. Many are easy to overlook but can help justify the annual membership cost.

An Amazon Prime membership, priced at $139 a year or $15 a month in the US, is best known for fast shipping, but it also bundles many lesser-known benefits. Young adults aged 18 to 24 can get a discounted "Prime for Young Adults" plan for $69 a year, while people who qualify for government assistance programs can access "Prime Access" for $7 a month, though only for up to four years total.
Entertainment and digital services
Members get free access to Amazon Music Prime, offering ad-free access to a huge song catalog, plus a discount on Amazon Music Unlimited. Prime Video is also included, featuring original shows and live sports like NFL games. Members also get free access to the new AI voice assistant Alexa+, which normally costs $20 a month, along with the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service and monthly rewards through Prime Gaming.
Shopping and delivery benefits
Prime members receive exclusive member-only discounts, early access to Lightning Deals, and the option to schedule deliveries on a chosen day through Amazon Day. Choosing slower shipping sometimes earns a digital credit or discount. Members also get free access to Grubhub+ with delivery discounts, plus additional savings at Whole Foods and grocery delivery through Amazon Fresh.
Family and other perks
Amazon Family lets members share benefits with another adult and up to four child profiles. Members receive a free ebook each month through Amazon First Reads and access to thousands of books, audiobooks, and magazines via Prime Reading. Other perks include unlimited photo storage, a discount on Amazon Kids+, and fuel savings through a partnership with BP's Earnify app.
