The Anaheim Ducks beat the Philadelphia Flyers away from home in an NHL regular-season game, ending a five-game losing streak. The NHL is North America's top professional ice hockey league. The source does not give the final score, but it shows the Ducks came back after the Flyers took a 2-0 lead.

How the game unfolded

The Flyers scored the first two goals (2-0), both on the power play. The advantage came after a fight involving Ejay Greer, who was given 2+5+10 minutes in penalties as the player responsible for the fight.

The top performer for the winners was 22-year-old defenseman Tristan Luneau. He scored the goal that put Anaheim ahead for the first time, at the start of the third period, and added two assists. Luneau finished the game at +3 in plus/minus, and in Philadelphia he collected more points than in the first ten games of the season combined (0+2).

Five minutes after Luneau's goal, the Ducks doubled their lead through a power-play combination between Leo Carlsson and Beckett Sennecke. Carlsson, who had one goal and one assist, was named the game's first star.

Background

Before this season Luneau had played only 14 NHL games. Ahead of the campaign he signed a six-year contract extension with the Ducks worth 43.2 million dollars, or 7.2 million per season.

Anaheim had lost five straight games: to Calgary and Boston before the road trip, and away to the New York Rangers, the New York Islanders and the New Jersey Devils. After the win in Philadelphia, the team returns home to host its next three games.

The Flyers began their season with a nine-game losing streak, then won three in a row against Ottawa, Colorado and Buffalo. The game against the Ducks sent them back to losing.
