Analogue Pocket restock opens October 2
Analogue will reopen pre-orders for its Analogue Pocket handheld and the Analogue Dock accessory on October 2. The $240 device continues to sell out quickly each time it becomes available.
The maker of the Analogue Pocket handheld has announced that new pre-orders will open on October 2 at 11am ET. The Analogue Dock accessory will also become available for purchase at the same time. Anyone who successfully places an order can expect their unit to ship within about two weeks.
The Analogue Pocket is nearing its fifth anniversary on the market, yet it remains just as difficult to obtain as it was at launch. The device's previous restock took place in March, when its price also rose by $20 due to tariffs. Buyers today will pay $240 for the console.
How it works
Unlike many retro handhelds currently on the market that rely on software emulation, the Analogue Pocket is built to play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance cartridges directly. It renders the games at ten times the original resolution with significantly improved color reproduction, while preserving the games' original proportions without any loss of scaling quality.
