Every year, thousands of people tune into the Latvian Nature Foundation's livestreams to watch birds nesting. These broadcasts show joys and dramas – chicks are born, pairs form, and sometimes tragedies occur. Anda, one of the most devoted viewers, started watching in 2009.

At that time, the first Latvian livestream from a lesser spotted eagle nest was broadcast on the portal "TVNET". Anda stumbled upon it by chance while browsing the day's top news. Before that, she had not been particularly interested in birds. However, she does not consider herself a birdwatcher but a nest watcher. "Compared to people – either we watch society on the street in the city, or we watch specific families' relationships in their home," she explains.

Anda notes that most birds die during migration when they return home. She cries every time she sees familiar birds coming back. These livestreams bring her peace and a connection to nature.
