Anfernee Simons signs modest two-year deal with 76ers
Free agent guard Anfernee Simons has agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, including a player option in the second season. Simons chose the 76ers over other suitors, believing his playing style fits the revamped roster.

According to Shams Charania, guard Anfernee Simons has reached an agreement with the Philadelphia 76ers on a relatively modest two-year deal worth $12.3 million. The contract includes a player option for the second season, allowing Simons to opt out next summer.
Simons previously completed a contract in the 2023/24 season, during which he averaged 22.6 points per game for the Portland Trail Blazers. Last summer, he was traded to the Boston Celtics, where he played 49 games, averaging 14.2 points and shooting 39.5% from three-point range. Mid-season, he was moved to the Chicago Bulls, appearing in only six games.
Notably, Simons played alongside Jaylen Brown on the Celtics, and Brown has also recently joined the 76ers. Simons chose Philadelphia over other interested teams, citing his belief that his game is a perfect fit for the restructured 76ers roster.
