England to face Mexico at 1 AM: Tuchel urges children to watch
England advanced to the World Cup round of 16 after a comeback win over DR Congo, with Harry Kane scoring twice. The match against Mexico will kick off at 1 AM UK time, and coach Thomas Tuchel encourages parents to let children stay up and watch.

England's football team has advanced to the round of 16 of the World Cup, where they will face host nation Mexico at 1:00 AM UK time on Monday. The English side secured their spot with a comeback 2-1 victory over DR Congo in the round of 32, after conceding an early goal. Harry Kane scored both goals, bringing his tournament tally to five.
This was England's first World Cup win from a losing position since the 1966 final against West Germany. Manager Thomas Tuchel called it a good sign, demonstrating the team's determination and belief. "We played with the right attitude and believed in ourselves," he said.
Tuchel also urged parents to let their children watch the late-night match, noting that the World Cup only comes once every four years. "Write notes to school and let them watch football – school will still be there, but the World Cup is only every four years," he said with a smile. He added that the team needs support, especially from children.
Kane is tied with Erling Haaland at five goals each, while Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe lead with six. Tuchel compared these star forwards to sharks that smell blood. "If they smell blood, they come and score," he said.
In the group stage, England beat Croatia and Panama and drew with Ghana. The round of 16 match will be the first night game for England in this tournament.
