Family of murdered Darlington woman say she was 'loved by everyone'
Durham Constabulary's investigation into the death of Leanne Park in Darlington continues, with a 44-year-old man suspected of murder still in custody. Her family described her as kind-hearted and devoted to those around her.
Police in Darlington are continuing to investigate the death of a woman found at a residential address in the Parkgate area on Wednesday, where she was pronounced dead. The victim has been named as Leanne Park.
In a statement, her family described her as someone who was kind-hearted and always willing to help others. They said she had been the best mother, grandmother, daughter and friend anyone could wish for.
Durham Constabulary confirmed that its investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing. A 44-year-old man, arrested earlier on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
A second man, aged 27, had also been arrested in connection with the case on suspicion of assisting an offender. Police said he has since been released on bail while the investigation proceeds.
