The 360TV documentary investigation series “Bez pēdām. Anna” (“Without a Trace. Anna”) revisits one of the most difficult periods in the events surrounding Anna Jansone's disappearance.

At a time when it was still unclear what had happened to Anna, her husband Juris had to endure another heavy blow: saying goodbye to their four-month-old daughter, Luīze.

After several weeks of uncertainty, it became known that the cause of Luīze's death was sudden infant death syndrome. During that period, Juris also had to take on all the responsibilities related to the funeral.

A painful moment

In the programme, Juris speaks emotionally about laying Luīze to rest and admits that it was an extremely hard moment. Although other people helped with organising the funeral, most of the duties fell on his shoulders.

He describes Luīze's farewell as quiet and sorrowful. At the same time, he had to keep living without knowing what had happened to Anna, hoping for answers about her fate.

Background

The source page also lists earlier articles on the story. In them, Anna's husband shared his grief after a funeral ceremony and said that Anna had died. Separately, human remains found in Kalnciems possibly matched the description of Anna Jansone.

The series shows viewers the events that followed Anna's disappearance and how her loved ones coped with them.
