The new chair, Anneki Teelahk, stated that the party has a strong and active team in the region, whose common goal is to defend the interests of the county's residents and strengthen the party's presence throughout the region. Teelahk thanked Maris Toomel and the board for the offer. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, noting that no one can achieve anything alone. She mentioned that the board and regional units include recognized and valuable specialists. Toomel's experience in leading the county organization for many years is invaluable. Teelahk is glad to continue building the organization on this solid foundation. Anneki Teelahk heads the Viru County Unemployment Insurance Fund and is a member of the Jõhvi Parish Council. She has been a member of the Reform Party since 2005. Aivar Surva, chairman of the board of the Viru Institute, was elected deputy chair of the Ida-Viru county branch. Teelahk believes that one of the most important tasks in the coming years is to engage new active members in the party's activities. Former chair Maris Toomel expressed satisfaction that a strong team is taking over the leadership. She believes that a strong organization depends not on a single leader but on the ability to nurture new leaders. Toomel is the chair of the Jõhvi Parish Council and works as the marketing director of the IDA Hub film studio being established in Jõhvi.
