Antonelli becomes youngest Formula 1 world champion in history
Italian driver Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes has become the youngest Formula 1 world champion ever. He secured the title four races before the end of the season.

Kimi Antonelli, an Italian driver racing for Mercedes in Formula 1 (F-1, the top class of single-seater motorsport), became the youngest world champion of all time on Sunday. He is 20 years old.
A third-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix, one of the rounds of the F-1 season, was enough for Antonelli to take the title. With that result he moved out of reach of his rivals in the championship standings with four races still to go.
Antonelli has thus written his name into F-1 history as the youngest driver ever to win the world championship.
