Grower in Ape delights in autumn's chrysanthemum bloom
In the Ape municipality, Baiba Simkeviča has grown multi-flowered chrysanthemums in her greenhouse for five years, and this September her plants reached their most vibrant blooming period.

As autumn sets in, gardens and yards increasingly take on seasonal colors, with chrysanthemums holding a special place among them. These flowers are known for staying vividly in bloom long after most other garden plants have already faded for the season.
Baiba Simkeviča, a resident of the Ape municipality, first tried growing multi-flowered chrysanthemums in pots five years ago. The attempt proved successful, and since then the practice has become an annual activity for her.
This autumn, her greenhouse is once again filled with chrysanthemums of various varieties and colors. In September, the plants reached their richest and most colorful blooming period, creating a striking autumn display.
Chrysanthemums are traditionally regarded as one of the last flowers of the season still able to please the eye after most other garden blooms have already withered.
