Apple bundles TV and Arcade into iCloud+ plans across 100+ countries
Apple is now including Apple TV and Arcade access in its cheapest iCloud+ subscription tier in more than 100 countries, though the change does not extend to the United States.
Apple has expanded its iCloud+ subscription offering by folding Apple TV and Arcade into the plans in over 100 countries. Until now, iCloud+ mainly provided expanded cloud storage along with privacy tools such as Private Relay, which masks users' IP addresses, and Hide My Email, which generates disposable email addresses.
The entry-level iCloud+ plan costs around $1 a month, or the rough equivalent in local currency across different markets. Previously, access to Apple TV and Arcade was only bundled together through the pricier Apple One package, which also includes Apple Music and starts at roughly $20 a month.
A possible shift in strategy
The change suggests Apple may be stepping back from pushing its more expensive Apple One bundle in certain regions. The company may have concluded that making its services cheaper and more accessible could drive greater adoption in those markets. Additionally, as noted by 9to5Mac, iCloud+ subscribers in the affected regions are also gaining access to Apple Music Select, a feature that unlocks a selection of ad-free internet radio stations.
Alongside this update, Apple TV itself is expanding into 59 additional countries where it was not previously available. The list of newly covered markets includes India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, and a broad range of countries across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific islands. Ukraine is also among the countries included.
Notably, the enhanced iCloud+ bundle is not being rolled out in the United States, where customers must still choose between the standard iCloud+ plan and the full-price Apple One bundle to get access to Apple TV and Arcade.
