Apple Music to let users record karaoke videos of themselves in iOS 27.3
Apple Music's new Selfie Sing feature will let users record videos of themselves singing along to music. It will arrive with iOS 27.3, whose beta is already available for download.

Apple, the maker of the iPhone and operator of the Apple Music streaming service, is adding a new feature called Selfie Sing. It will let users record a video of themselves singing karaoke without needing a separate app. The feature will arrive with the iOS 27.3 update, whose beta became available on 4 November 2026.
How it will work
Apple Music introduced a karaoke feature called Sing in 2022, which lets users take over the vocals of songs. Selfie Sing is an expanded version of it. Users can film themselves while the song lyrics scroll across the screen in real time.
The feature does not cover the service's entire catalog and is instead tied to a dedicated playlist. So far it includes Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction, Like a Virgin by Madonna, Baby One More Time by Britney Spears and 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton.
Effects and sharing
To begin, a user picks a song and turns on the camera. Before saving the video or sharing it with friends, they can add effects to their voice or adjust its volume. The options are Megaphone, Echo, Concert Hall and Studio.
As Engadget reports, the iOS 27.3 beta will also bring additional Siri AI features and a redesigned Health app. The new mobile operating system is expected to be widely available in December.
