iPhone owners can now file a claim in Apple's $250 million Siri AI lawsuit
Apple has opened claims filing for a $250 million class-action settlement over its delayed AI-upgraded Siri. Owners of iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models in the US are eligible to apply.

Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to resolve a class-action lawsuit alleging the company failed to deliver an AI-upgraded Siri as promised. Eligible iPhone owners can now submit claims for compensation through the settlement's official website.
US residents who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, qualify to file a claim. Applicants must provide their name, contact information, and iPhone serial number on the settlement website before the December 21, 2026 deadline.
Potential payout
Eligible device owners can expect roughly $25 per device, though the settlement website indicates this amount could rise to as much as $95 depending on the total number of claims filed.
Background of the lawsuit
The class action alleged that Apple created a "clear and reasonable consumer expectation" that new AI features previewed at WWDC 2024 would be available alongside the iPhone 16 launch. Instead, the iPhone 16 shipped with more limited capabilities despite being marketed as "built for Apple Intelligence." Apple subsequently delayed the rollout of its AI-enhanced Siri, which only became available with iOS 27 earlier this month. Apple has denied any wrongdoing in the case.
