Apple holds event today — iPhone 18 Pro and Watch Series 12 expected

Apple is hosting its annual fall event today in Cupertino, California, where the company is expected to unveil the new iPhone 18 Pro models along with the Apple Watch Series 12. Much of the buildup has centered on speculation about a foldable device called the iPhone Ultra, fueled by a string of reports and leaks from outlets such as Bloomberg, as well as accessory makers like Dbrand.

Dbrand has already listed pre-order pages for cases apparently designed for the rumored foldable phone, a move that underscores the intense public interest even before Apple has confirmed the device exists. Since foldable phones tend to be fragile and expensive, a protective case is widely seen as a near-essential purchase, regardless of whether the leaked specs are accurate or educated guesswork.

According to available reports, only the Pro versions of the iPhone 18 lineup are expected to be shown today, with the standard new iPhone model not on the agenda for now. The event is also expected to include the reveal of the Apple Watch Series 12, and possibly an Apple Watch Ultra 4 as well.

The event carries additional significance, as it is expected to be the first major keynote led by incoming Apple CEO John Ternus, who is set to take over from Tim Cook. Cook's last major keynote appearance was at WWDC in June.
