Apple TV+ has announced that its upcoming series based on William Gibson's seminal 1984 cyberpunk novel 'Neuromancer' will be released on January 22, 2027. The news was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, alongside the first official teaser trailer.
The series stars Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard, and Clémence Poésy. According to Apple, the story follows Case (Turner), a top-tier but damaged hacker, who gets entangled in digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin. Together they attempt a heist against a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.
The show will consist of 10 episodes, released weekly. The first two episodes will drop on January 22, with subsequent episodes releasing each week through March 19.
Apple has been producing acclaimed sci-fi content lately, and hopes are high that 'Neuromancer' will continue that streak. A positive sign is that author William Gibson, an executive producer on the show, appears pleased with the adaptation. Sharing the teaser on Bluesky, he wrote that he has been very satisfied throughout production.
