Survey: two-thirds of Latvian families struggle to make ends meet

Latvia's Ministry of Welfare has prepared a mid-term evaluation report on the implementation of the Child, Youth and Family Development Guidelines for 2022-2027, and the survey data included in it point to significant financial strain among Latvian families.

According to the report, 66.8%, or roughly two-thirds, of surveyed families said they manage to "make ends meet" only with difficulty. This indicates that for the majority of the families surveyed, income is not sufficient to comfortably cover everyday needs.
