Survey: IT and communications named most attractive work sector in Latvia
A new survey shows that both working residents and students in Latvia consider the information and communication services sector the most appealing place to work.

Research and consulting firm Fifty5Blue has conducted a survey identifying which economic sectors Latvian residents would most like to work in. The company shared the findings with the LETA news agency.
According to the survey, both currently employed residents of Latvia and students name the information and communication services sector as the most attractive place to work. This sector ranked higher than other areas of the economy, suggesting that the digital services and communications field is currently viewed as one of the most desirable segments of the labor market.
Consistent view across groups
Notably, the sector proved appealing to both surveyed groups — people already active in the workforce and those still studying who plan to enter the job market in the near future. This points to a degree of consistency in how the sector's prospects are perceived, regardless of respondents' career stage.

More detailed figures, such as specific percentages or a full ranking of other sectors, were not included in the report.
