Survey: Healthcare and cost of living top priorities; airBaltic investments and trade with Russia least important
A recent SKDS public opinion survey shows Latvian residents consider state-funded healthcare availability and cost of living as the most urgent issues for the new government, while new investments in airBaltic and trade with Russia are seen as least important.
According to the latest SKDS public opinion poll, the current agenda of Latvian society is dominated by two key issues: access to state-funded healthcare and the cost of living. Residents identified these as the top priorities that the new government, led by Andris Kulbergs, should address.
At the opposite end of the list—the anti-top—are matters deemed least important by the public. Specifically, new investments in the national airline airBaltic and developing trade with Russia received the lowest priority ratings. This indicates that people are currently more concerned about daily expenses and healthcare quality than about large investment projects or economic ties with the eastern neighbor.
