"United List" clearly leading as 80% of votes counted in Latvia's parliamentary election
With roughly 80% of ballots counted in the 15th Saeima election, the "Apvienotais saraksts" (United List) alliance holds a clear lead, while only six parties or alliances still have realistic chances of entering parliament.

Preliminary results published on the website of Latvia's Central Election Commission (CVK) show that with about 80% of votes counted in the election for the 15th Saeima, the party alliance "Apvienotais saraksts" (United List) has taken a clear lead.
Six contenders remain
As vote counting has progressed, it has become clear that, based on current figures, only six of all the parties and alliances that stood in the election still have realistic chances of winning seats in parliament. The remaining political forces, according to the interim results so far, have not managed to secure the necessary voter support.
Results may still shift
The data published by the CVK is being updated continuously as counting continues through election night and the following days. The figures currently available are interim results, and the final distribution of seats among the parties competing for the Saeima could still change before all cast ballots are counted, including those sent by post or cast abroad.
Official, final election results will be confirmed later, once the CVK completes the full count and compiles data from polling stations across the country. Until then, the political picture—based on the share of votes still to be counted—is considered provisional, although the trend so far, with one alliance holding a clear lead and six parties remaining in contention, has remained consistent.
