Several Iran-linked Telegram channels have threatened Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a successful strike on a vessel that was transporting military cargo between Russia and Iran.
Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian warship and other vessels in the Caspian Sea, which, according to Kyiv, were involved in transporting military cargo linked to Iran.
In response, multiple pro-Iranian Telegram channels published messages threatening Ukraine, including claims that the entire territory of Ukraine is within range of Iranian ballistic missiles. These statements have so far been recorded on social media and Iran-linked media but do not represent an official statement from the Iranian government.
Iran condemned the attack, reporting that one sailor was killed and another injured in the explosion on an Iranian commercial vessel. Tehran described the incident as an act of aggression and vowed to defend its interests and security.
