Ariana Grande will take an indefinite break from public life after her 'Eternal Sunshine Tour' ends, and will no longer appear in a London musical revival.
American singer Ariana Grande plans to step away from public life for an indefinite period after the conclusion of her "Eternal Sunshine Tour", her representative has confirmed. The 32-year-old Grammy winner will give her final concert on September 1 in London. After that, she intends to withdraw from public events, performances and other commitments that involve constant media attention.
The representative told People magazine that Grande will temporarily retreat from public life once the tour is over. Before that, the singer still has 13 concerts scheduled in Chicago and London. The representative emphasised that she wants to finish the tour on a positive note – healthy and happy – and only then take a well-deserved break.
Because of the pause, Grande will no longer take part in the revived production of Stephen Sondheim's musical "Sunday in the Park With George" in London's West End. The show was planned at the Barbican Centre, where she was expected to reunite with her "Wicked" co-star Jonathan Bailey. A source close to Grande said she looks forward to supporting the talented team that will continue working on the production. Producers have confirmed that the project will not be cancelled and the premiere will still take place in summer 2027, with a new cast to be announced later. They also said they understand and support the singer's decision.
In recent years, Grande's health and appearance have repeatedly become a topic of public debate. Fans have voiced concern about her look and speculated about her health. These discussions became especially intense after the tour started in June and the release of the music video for her new single "Petal" in July.
