Armenia announced that its annual Eagle Partner 2026 military exercises will take place from June 17 to 25, featuring three NATO member countries for the first time in a four-way format. According to the Defense Ministry, the drills will involve 250 participants from Armenia's peacekeeping brigade, along with 58 personnel from the U.S. Army Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard, 24 from France, and 11 from Greece.

The exercises aim to train participants in planning and executing peacekeeping missions, improve interoperability between units, share best practices, and enhance the readiness of Armenia's peacekeeping forces. Previously, only Armenia and the United States took part in Eagle Partner exercises, which were first held in September 2023. The Russian news outlet Interfax noted the new four-way format. The joint drills occur against the backdrop of deteriorating relations between Yerevan and Moscow.
