Armenia's men's national football team, Latvia's opponent in the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixture, has announced its squad list. Included is Saudi club Al-Ahli's attacking midfielder Eduard Spertsyan, the team's fourth-highest all-time goalscorer and currently the top scorer among active national team players.

The 26-year-old Spertsyan has scored 12 goals in 42 appearances for the national team, two of them coming against Latvia during the previous UEFA Nations League season.

Record holder no longer active

Armenia's all-time top scorer is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who ended his international career in 2021 with 32 goals. The next two players on the all-time list each have 14 goals.

Several players will miss the upcoming squad gathering due to injury, including Vahan Bichakhchyan, Feinn Geragusyan, Grant Leon Ranos and David Davidyan, among four other footballers.

Match in Yerevan

Latvia and Armenia will meet on September 25 in Yerevan. The UEFA Nations League C division group also includes Montenegro and Cyprus alongside Latvia and Armenia.

Armenia's squad list features players from clubs across several countries, including Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Spain, Israel and Russia.
