Arsenal sign Ecuador defender Hincapié permanently from Bayer Leverkusen for €46.6 million
Arsenal have completed the permanent transfer of Ecuador international Piero Hincapié from Bayer Leverkusen for €46.6 million, after he spent the previous season on loan at the club. The defender has signed a contract until the summer of 2031.

Piero Hincapié played the previous season for Arsenal on loan from German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. At the end of the loan period, Arsenal exercised their option to make the transfer permanent, paying €46.6 million to Leverkusen.
The Ecuadorian defender has signed a new contract with Arsenal that runs until the summer of 2031. During the past season, Hincapié made 25 appearances in the Premier League, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He also played ten matches in the UEFA Champions League.
Earlier in his career, Hincapié represented Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle.
