Arsenal edge Chelsea 2-1 in tight Premier League clash as Odegaard and Saka shine

Arsenal secured a 2-1 Premier League win over Chelsea in a closely fought encounter at home. Chelsea took an early lead when Morgan Rogers scored with a first-time volley just two minutes into the match, beating goalkeeper David Raya.

Arsenal equalised through Kai Havertz, who missed a chance in the 23rd minute before making no mistake two minutes later, cutting inside to score. Early in the second half, Arsenal took the lead when Martin Odegaard finished composedly, and the home side held on to that advantage until the final whistle.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard both received the match's top rating of eight. Among the defenders, Chelsea's Ezri Konsa stood out on his first Arsenal-opposing start, winning more duels than any other defender on the pitch. Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya produced a crucial late save to deny Brazilian forward Estevao, whose spectacular curling effort nearly earned Chelsea an equaliser.

Chelsea's lowest-rated players were goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who was beaten too easily at his near post for Havertz's goal, and forward Cole Palmer, who was largely kept quiet by the Arsenal defence, each receiving a rating of five.
