Medicinal Plant Grower Gundars Skudriņš: Nature and Market Must Be Observed Together
Gundars Skudriņš cultivates medicinal plants on over 600 hectares, producing dried raw materials almost entirely exported to pharmaceutical companies, emphasizing the need to monitor both market demand and natural processes.

Entrepreneur Gundars Skudriņš manages more than 600 hectares of medicinal plants. His farm produces dried drugs – plant raw materials used in pharmaceuticals. Nearly all production is exported, mainly to foreign pharmaceutical companies.
Despite large production volumes, Skudriņš stresses that it is important not only to follow market demand but also to understand and observe natural processes. He notes that while ideas are abundant, successful farming requires a balance between human desires and nature's rhythms.
