Aston Villa Close to Loan Deal for Chelsea Winger Garnacho
Aston Villa are in advanced talks to sign Alejandro Garnacho on loan with a potential obligation to buy from Chelsea.

Aston Villa are in advanced negotiations with Chelsea for a loan move of Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, with an option that could become a permanent transfer under certain conditions. The 21-year-old was made available for sale last month at £43 million, but Chelsea are open to a deal that initially takes the form of a loan and later triggers a permanent transfer if specific clauses are met.
These talks follow Chelsea's agreement to pay a record £117 million for Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers on Saturday night. Since then, separate discussions have involved Garnacho and striker Nicolas Jackson (available for £65 million) potentially moving in the opposite direction to Villa Park. If finalized, Garnacho would become Villa's fourth signing this busy summer, after Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Kaba Cisse.
Player sales from Villa have already reached nearly £200 million, with Youri Tielemans, Donyell Malen, Enzo Barrenechea, and Lewis Dobbin leaving the club. Chelsea are eager to offload Garnacho, despite having signed him last September from Manchester United for £40 million, with United entitled to 10% of any future transfer fee. Garnacho's impact at Stamford Bridge has been limited to one Premier League goal. The arrivals of Rogers and Sporting's winger Geovany Quenda have increased the need to trim the squad size.
