Over 8,000 applications received in a week for eight Latvian universities
Since the start of joint admissions for undergraduate studies at eight Latvian universities, 8,139 applications have been received, with 6,104 confirmed. The University of Latvia leads in applications.

In the week since the joint admission for undergraduate studies began at eight Latvian universities, 8,139 applications have been received, according to the unified admissions system. Of these, 6,104 (75%) have been confirmed.
The University of Latvia (LU) has received the most confirmed applications – 16,863 across all priorities, with 3,587 as first priority. Riga Technical University (RTU) ranks second with 7,352 confirmed applications, of which 1,387 are first priority. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU) has 2,296 confirmed applications, including 527 first-priority. Daugavpils University (DU) has received 1,466 confirmed applications. Other universities have fewer than 600 confirmed applications.
Among the most popular study programs are LU's programs: Medicine, Law, Psychology, Communication Science, Business Management, Computer Science, Pre-trial Investigation, and Nursing. Also in the top ten are RTU's "Computer Systems" and LBTU's "Veterinary Medicine."
