Eight scholarships for social welfare students announced in Jelgava Municipality

Jelgava Municipality has announced a call for applications for professional scholarships intended for students pursuing careers in social welfare. This year, eight such scholarships are available. The aim is to encourage future specialists to take up employment in the municipality after completing their studies.

Applications must be submitted by September 30 to the Jelgava Municipality Scholarship Commission. The scholarship may be received for the entire duration of studies, provided the student successfully fulfills their academic obligations. After graduation, the recipient must start working in the profession they have acquired within Jelgava Municipality and remain employed there for at least three years.

The municipality notes that applicants who are not officially registered as residents of Jelgava Municipality are also eligible to apply. The scholarship can be received regardless of any financial support from the state or other sources. This allows a wider range of candidates to apply and ensures that the support is not dependent on other income sources.
